This is the first level of training for all dogs and puppies. We will cover all the basics:
Heeling on leash, sit, down, stay, stand for examination, and the recall (coming when
called).
Pre-requisite: All dogs welcome with proof of vaccination. Absolutely no aggressive
dogs.
Rally-O is a new sport that combines obedience and agility. Handlers and dogs
complete courses made up of several stations of exercises such as ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘Figure
8’. Handlers are encouraged to interact with their dog throughout the course. Food and
toy rewards are permitted on the course. Dogs need to have a solid attention span and
focus as well as the ability to heel on leash.
Pre-requisite: Successful completion of Basic Obedience
Agility Basics is the first step between obedience class and agility. Dogs are introduced
to the tunnel, tire, jump and table and are given the foundations for moving on to
weaves and contact equipment such as the teeter. Basic obedience skills are solidified
and dogs learn to move with and away from their handlers. By the end of the eight-week
course, dogs will have a basic understanding of jumps, tunnels and tables and have the
skills necessary to advance further in agility. They should also have gained confidence
and the ability to play.
Pre-requisite: Successful completion of Basic Obedience
Agility Handling is for dogs who have a fairly good understanding of most of the agility
equipment, although who may still be working on contacts and weaves. The class will
introduce more advanced-level crosses, as well as manoeuvres such as out and away.
In this
class, dogs will be put courses and sequences.
Pre-requisite: Successful completion of Basic Agility Handling
This session which will offer a little bit of everything – obedience, agility, tricks and
responsible pet ownership for children 8-13 years old.

Puppy Parties are held every Sunday for any puppy under 6 months. Proof of vaccination is required. There is a $5 drop in fee. Call or email before your first party.
Puppy Parties provide a safe, structured environment for young dogs
and their owners to play nicely with other dogs, to be handled by their owners
and other people, and to cope with new and different situations.
Puppies and owners learn the basics of modern positive training
techniques, laying the groundwork for future obedience training or simply
being a good pet dog.
